St Katharine’s school encompasses beautiful surroundings, professional staff, invested families, and enthusiastic girls.

 

Alison Jennings joined St Katharine’s School as Head in January 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a deep passion for girls’ education. Committed to placing the child at the center of all that we do, Alison believes in fostering environments where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Before joining St Katharine’s, Alison served as Head of the Junior School at St Mary’s DSG in Pretoria and held other leadership roles in the various schools she has served. She was Deputy Head of Girls’ Education at St Stithians Girls’ Preparatory, assisted Brescia House School in achieving its WESSA Eco School Platinum award, and helped establish a STEAM Centre while teaching at Micklefield School. Alison also played an instrumental role in establishing Applewood Preparatory, further showcasing her innovative approach to education.

With her vast experience and unwavering dedication to holistic education, Alison is committed to building strong relationships with parents and the broader school community, ensuring every girl feels supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
